Judith Sperling Accepting CPRS Award
The award is called the, “ Pat O’Brien Professional Legislative Award”, and was given to the Aquatic Section for their work in defeating AB 124, a labor union sponsored bill that provided for meal periods and rest breaks for lifeguards at the expense of their public safety functions and for the successful passage of SB 793, which updated language pertaining to lifeguard qualifications, making them more dynamic with the ability to remain current if and when lifeguard courses are revised.
